Another beautiful morning in southern California. Our last day with Berkeley; we'll drive to LA to overnight for our morning flight to Beijing via Seattle. These past 3 weeks have been surreal: homeless, unemployed and nomadic.

Berkeley and Matthew gave us a Kindle as an early birthday presents. It is certainly the lightest 'weigh' to carry so many books and easy to use; but I still miss the turning of the page . . .

We have been busy with last minute phone conversations with friends and family. We will miss you all and look forward to seeing you on our return.
